Channel 2 excited to bring UGA-Georgia Southern game to TV viewers
Say this for WSB Channel 2: The Atlanta television giant likes its Bulldogs
Not only did the station step up to broadcast Georgia’s 1:30 p.m. game today against Georgia Southern — SEC guidelines allow members to produce one game per year outside the league’s contracts with CBS and ESPN — but it also will be providing UGA content throughout the day Saturday.
- At 10 a.m., coverage begins with “Bulldogs Gameday,” WSB’s regular, weekly, hour-long program dedicated to the coverage of UGA athletics.
- At 12:30 p.m., the station will air a special edition of “SportsZone,” which will provide pregame coverage up until the 1:30 p.m kickoff. The show will be anchored by Channel 2 sports director Zach Klein. He will be joined by Channel 2 Action News anchors Jovita Moore and Fred Blankenship, and former Georgia quarterback D.J. Shockley will provide his insight and analysis
- At 1:30 p.m., game coverage begins at 1:30 p.m.. Veteran sportscaster Bob Neal and former Georgia player DJ Jones
