On offense: Kentucky has been hard hit by injuries at quarterback, where sophomore starter Maxwell Smith is out with a torn ankle ligament and freshman backup Patrick Towles is doubtful because of a high ankle sprain. Freshman Jalen Whitlow is likely to start at QB for the third consecutive game; senior Morgan Newton is another option. Injuries also have hurt at tailback, where the Wildcats lost 2011 starter Josh Clemons (knee) and 2012 starter CoShik Williams (hip) for the season.
